Thien-Kim was born in South Vietnam. She studied Piano in the Saigon Conservatory. While pursuing her music carreer, Thien-Kim took several art classes and worked with silk painting as a hobby.
Upon her arrival in the United Stated in 1991, she followed her dream of becoming an artist and
studied art at the Massachussetts College of Art in Boston, graduating in 1997 with a BA in Graphic Design.
Following a career as a graphic designer, in 2004, Thien-Kim decided to become a full-time artist. She won several awards in the region. Her "HONEY MOON" painting was published in International Artist's 2005 edition of "One Hundred Ways to Paint People and Figures".
